Our 2026 Summer Institute will be held from July 12 to July 24, 2026 on the USC campus in Los Angeles.

Applications are now open for the 2026 CPD Summer Institute, our signature, in-person training program designed for mid-career professionals navigating today’s fast-moving public diplomacy landscape.  The Institute brings together a global cohort to engage with the latest research, tools, and strategies for addressing real-time diplomatic and communication challenges. Participants work intensively in small peer groups, tackling real-world projects while exchanging experiences and best practices across sectors and regions.

The two-week curriculum spans some of the most urgent and emerging issues in the field, including AI and the future of public diplomacy, disinformation and misinformation, campaign measurement, crisis management and narrative strategy, creator culture and youth engagement, mixed-reality storytelling, and strategies for reaching the world’s two billion video gamers. The program, which celebrated its 20th anniversary last summer, is tailored for mid-career professionals from government, NGOs, international organizations, communications consultancies, and the private sector, as well as others seeking advanced professional development.
