KEEP READINGBack In-Person: CPD Summer Institute, Class of 2022
CPD’s annual Summer Institute returned in-person to the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, the first time back on campus at the University of Southern California since 2020.
Founded in 2006, CPD Summer Institute offers a two-week program for public diplomacy practitioners and scholars to develop new skill sets and grow their global networks. The curriculum is designed for practical application in the rapidly-shifting information ecosystem. The Institute fosters “a forward-looking, hands-on learning environment and creates a collaborative strategy toward a robust and impactful public diplomacy practice,” said CPD Director Jay Wang.
The CPD Summer Institute Class of 2022 welcomed 13 mid-career public diplomacy professionals from 5 countries and 10 organizations. Throughout the two weeks, participants discussed a variety of topics on pressing issues in public diplomacy and gained access to cutting-edge communication technology and the latest social science research.
