CPD Research Intern Receives 2012 USC Rockwell Dennis Hunt Scholastic Award

CPD Research Intern, Emily Chin, has been selected as the 2012 recipient of the Rockwell Dennis Hunt Scholastic Award at the University of Southern California. Established at USC in 1976 in memory of Rockwell Dennis Hunt, the first Dean of the Graduate School, it is awarded annually to one graduate student who is an alumnus and is most representative of the University's traditions and objectives. The award carries a cash prize in the amount of $5,000 and the inscription of the awardee's name on a memorial trophy housed in the USC Graduate School.

Emily's undergraduate degree is in English Creative Writing with a minor in French. She graduated with her B.A. in 2007 and then worked in marketing with Nike in the Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago markets.

Emily returned to USC in 2010 to enter the Master of Public Diplomacy Program and has focused on listening-based outreach programs around the issues of water access and food science. She is currently serving as a CPD Research Intern for the Center's Water Diplomacy Initiative.
