My experiences in Ethiopia have been, in a word, wonderful. I quickly discovered I share a common thread with the majority of the people here:  that of our national pride and a love for the beautiful game of soccer (futbol). I have oft said the game of futbol shrinks the world; it is a common language spoken in just about every corner. This has been no different in Ethiopia.

A Sudanese public diplomacy delegation arrived in the Ethiopian Capital, Addis Ababa, on Sunday for a week-long official visit.The Speaker underscored that the visit would further bolster the historic and long-standing brotherhood and solidarity between the two countries. “Though Ethiopia will not be new to you, during your stay, we are hopeful that you will explore further opportunities of partnership in order for the two countries to grow together.”

The 2016 Pan-African Executive Summit - one of Africa’s most ‘unique and high which draws Business leaders from 35 countries across Africa and all around the globe is set to convene in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, March 15-16. 

The Ethiopian Football Federation and representatives of one of America's leading professional women's soccer teams, the Seattle Reign, met today in Addis Adaba and took the first steps in forging a strategic partnership aimed at forging international linkages and strengthening Ethiopian women's soccer.
