He urged Israel’s Arab population not to think of itself as a separate entity making a distinction between Arabs and Jews. “Let’s all be Israelis,” he said. [...] In a Jewish and democratic state, he said, there will be peace only when there is consensus on all sides on the issue of coexistence.

U.S. and Iranian officials have been insisting the last several years that they wanted to resolve the nuclear issue before discussing the sectarian wars that are raging across the Middle East. Not anymore. As the battles have escalated in recent months, so has talk about regional diplomacy. 

The State of Kuwait is currently taking part in the third Arabic Arts Festival held in the Chinese capital Beijing, with participants underlining necessity of boosting ties and cultural interactions between the Chinese and Arab nations.  The cultural event has already kicked off, with Kuwait's participation, led by Mohammad Al-Asousi, Deputy Secretary General of the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters.

In an exclusive interview with Al Arabiya News, Moroccan singer Ahmed Soultan discusses his own musical genre which he had dubbed “Afrobian,” a merger of African and Arabian musical traditions.  Soultan believes that the merging of African musical instruments and Arabian melodies allow him to carve out his own musical identity and that “Afrobian,” like other forms of music, can transcend physical and cultural boundaries.
