The chief executive of the British Council manages an annual income of £980 million, juggling projects which range from helping Nigerians improve their policing methods to touring the work of Turner prize-winner Grayson Perry in Turkey. Since it was founded in 1934, the UK’s cultural relations organisation has expanded to include some 200 offices in 100 countries – and at the helm of this massive “soft-power” behemoth is an Irishman.

Organizers hope to expand  the exhibition soon and find a larger venue for it. Meanwhile, other U.S. embassies — including the one in Berlin — are also helping Syrian artists gain exposure. Without art and culture, civilized societies cannot exist, said Al Kadri. The exhibition, he added, “is a big chance [to show] that Syria has a deep-rooted civilization.”

The Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art (TMoCA) is showcasing a collection of works by Iranian and Arab modern artists in an exhibition titled “The Sea Suspended. [...] features artists from around the Arab world, including Egypt, Iraq, North Africa, the Levant and the Arabian Peninsula. [...] This is the first time that an exhibition of Arab art from the modern period has been showcased in Iran.

Taiwan’s meaningful participation in the UNFCCC in Marrakech this year and beyond, therefore, is essential to that achievement of these goals. Climate change is an issue of global concern that cuts across national boundaries and narrow political considerations. No nation, including Taiwan, can do it alone. We are more than willing to contribute our full share to the challenge presented by environmental protection.

The theme of the art exhibition is Art Makes the Olympics Even More Beautiful and is a way of rounding off the games and celebrating sportsmanship and cultural reunion through art. It also makes up a part of the larger Year of China-Latin America-Caribbean Exchange which is an initiative that was born after a meeting with the Chinese president Xi Jinping and the leaders of Latin America and the Caribbean in July 2014.

The Council believes today’s photography can document, inspire and teach people about public diplomacy and its potential for positive change in our world. We support visual storytelling on critical human, economic, political, cultural, environmental and social issues.  We believe this exhibit has the potential reach a vast global audience through the direct participation of photographers and the artistic community...

A Cultural Festival of Turkic-Speaking States will be held in Seoul, Korea, from November 8-13. The festival will bring together cultural figures from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, Azertac reported. The opening ceremony will take place at the National Museum of Korea on November 8.
