Changsha, capital city of central China's Hunan Province, has been awarded the title of the "2017 Culture City of East Asia" in a program established by China, Japan and South Korea in Beijing. [...] The three candidate cities were judged by an 11-member committee of experts in the fields of cultural exchange, cultural service system construction and intangible cultural heritage protection and inheritance.

Twelve American high schools students, have traveled to China to participate in the U.S. China Student Leaders Exchange before they leave for college in the fall. [...] The program's goal is to foster understanding between the US and China by providing nationally recognized American teenagers with an opportunity to immerse themselves in Chinese education and culture.

Taiwan's youth ambassadors will visit the nation's diplomatic allies and friendly countries for a stay of up to three weeks starting next month to showcase Taiwan's soft power internationally, a Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) official announced on Thursday.
