Cultural Diplomacy

Thailand’s delegation signed three major agreements during the visit, including an action plan for cultural exchange and two MoUs; between Nagaland University and Chiang Mai University for further cooperation in education, and between India’s Axis Bank and Thailand’s Kasikorn Bank.

Until today, the Muslim and Hindu cultural exchange has been so strong in the villages of Barmer and Jaisalmer districts, that it becomes almost close to impossible to segregate a Muslim from a Hindu or a Hindu from a Muslim from just their attire or language.

The clinics are part of the Berklee India Exchange, an initiative aimed at establishing a platform for cultural conversation about Indian music through artist residencies, musical collaborations, and performances. The People’s Republic of China is opening China Culture Center (CCC) in Nepal this year to coinicide with 60 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations. An art project at an Islamic school in Melbourne's north has led to a remarkable cultural exchange between the country's oldest Australians, some of the newest and some of the toughest. [...] The piece will be at the centre of Ilim College's commemorations for the National Aboriginal and Islander Day of Celebration (NAIDOC) in July and celebrates the shared history of Aboriginal and Muslim people in Australia.

The Reagan Library will welcome its newest exhibit next week, displaying works of art that until now have been seen only in embassies outside the United States. In its historic debut at the Reagan Library at 40 Presidential Drive in Simi Valley, the Foundation for Arts and Preservation in Embassies will present its Original Print, Photography and Site-Specific collections from June 23 to Aug. 7.
