Cultural Diplomacy

The Welsh Government has committed to establishing an equivalent to Creative England as part of its bid to become the "most creatively active nation in Europe". Welsh economy and infrastructure secretary Ken Skates pledged to set up the body, called Creative Wales, in a new report that sets out a vision for Wales' cultural future. 

The Polish embassy and the cultural centre are making efforts to connect and collaborate with India through cultural exchange. And visual artists seem to strike the right chord to have creative conversations across cultures. Mutual ignorance is a major constraint on stronger bilateral cooperation between Poland and India. 

Serena Hotels, under its Cultural Diplomacy initiative, organized a wonderful Heritage Fair at the Serena Business Complex Lawn, to help promote local art and artisans. With cultural music playing in the background and provincial artists dancing, the atmosphere boasted a fragrance of delicious local cuisine as craftspeople and vendors showcased the cultural diversity of the country.

Pakistan can receive millions of tourists annually if there may be peace and infrastructure in areas where these ancient sites and relics were located. If Pakistan government take the initiative, it could kick start a massive hospitality industry in the region earning billions of dollars foreign exchange annually.

Public broadcaster Prasar Bharati has entered into an agreement with Tajikistan’s Committee on TV and Radio for cooperation in the field of broadcasting. According to official sources, the two sides can exchange programmes in the fields of cultural, archaeology, history, food, festivals, education, science, entertainment, sports, news as areas of mutual interest.

Despite huge cultural gaps, Chinese online literature, especially fantasy novels featuring martial arts and magical powers, has created a reading frenzy among foreign readers, Xinhua News Agency reports. Fascinated by the cultural elements contained in Chinese web novels and their imaginative plots, many foreigners have spontaneously begun to translate these works.

An all-Filipino choir brought some early Christmas cheer during an event in the United Kingdom's capital. The 'Festive Prelude,' produced by non-profit organization the International Culture and Arts Exchange London, took place in St. Stephen's Church in Gloucester Road, West London, on December 11.

The exhibition would not only bring the rich Buddhist archaeological treasure of Pakistan to Republic of Korea but also help attract religious tourists to Pakistan, according to a press release of the Pakistan embassy in Seoul. The exhibition starting from March next year, would be held in two cities of Republic of Korea for six months.
