India and Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday signed six MoUs including in the fields of tourism, agriculture and food industry, youth development and broadcasting and exchange of audio-visual programmes. The agreements were inked after the delegation-level talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the visiting Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Sharshenovich Atambayev in New Delhi.

The Photo BRICS contest aims to facilitate international cultural dialogue between BRICS countries through photography and other visual aids. This year’s contest witnessed submission of more than 1,000 photos by youths from Brazil, India, Russia, China and South Africa. The 10 best photos (48 works in total), capturing nature and architecture of the BRICS countries and symbolizing the countries’ values won awards.
 

The Polish embassy and the cultural centre are making efforts to connect and collaborate with India through cultural exchange. And visual artists seem to strike the right chord to have creative conversations across cultures. Mutual ignorance is a major constraint on stronger bilateral cooperation between Poland and India. 

Public broadcaster Prasar Bharati has entered into an agreement with Tajikistan’s Committee on TV and Radio for cooperation in the field of broadcasting. According to official sources, the two sides can exchange programmes in the fields of cultural, archaeology, history, food, festivals, education, science, entertainment, sports, news as areas of mutual interest.

February 22, 1992 is a historic date for Kazakhstan and India, as it was on this day that bilateral and diplomatic relations was established between these two countries. Reflecting on this relationship and on his over two year stay in India as Kazakhstan’s envoy, Ambassador Bulat Sarsenbayev said that it has so far been a very busy and rewarding diplomatic assignment in more ways than one.

With international students abundant in the campus, every Indian student in the course will be assigned to a foreign student. The Indian student will then learn about his or her companion's country, life, the hardships he or she has faced, etc. Officials at the college feel this will take the students beyond text-books and help them learn the ground realities of various countries.

They have a shared history, and now officials want to unite India and the Arab world as two major trading blocs. The Indus and Ganges rivers on the one hand and Tigris and Euphrates and Nile rivers on the other were home to some of the world’s first civilisations. And that, officials believe, matters for the future.
