Iran is planning to attract more foreign investors to its capital market through holding a series of international conferences to introduce this market, Hamid Rouhbakhsh, the director of public relations and international affairs of Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), told the Tehran Times in an exclusive interview on Monday. Rouhbakhsh believes that Iran’s increasing international relations after the implementation of its nuclear deal, known as joint comprehensive plan of action (JCPOA), with the world’s major powers in January 2016 is facilitating presence of foreign investors in

The event will bring together scholars from Iran and other countries. High on the agenda of the day-long conference will be issues such as a united Islamic community, Islamic civilization, resistance and the social assets of the Muslim world.

Speaking at the opening session of the international conference on threats facing freedom of expression, Dr Ali bin Smaikh al-Marri said that it was unacceptable to impose mass sanctions against civilians or journalists for any political differences. Officials from over 200 international rights groups, press syndicates, think-tanks and universities are taking part in the two-day conference at Ritz Carlton Doha.
