Women can be a major power in convincing Mideast leaders to agree to a comprehensive Arab-Israeli peace deal, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Wednesday as she urged regional leaders to embrace the rising expectations of their skyrocketing youth populations.

In today’s world, track two diplomacy and multi-track diplomacy are well recognized for their role in establishing peace. Now, numerous degree granting programs, NGOs, government agencies, and the United Nations have emerged as important agencies to reduce violent conflicts.

The World Peace Forum, a Seoul-based private research institute, hosted an international workshop to exchange expert views on enhancing peace in the world as well as on the Korean Peninsula on Wednesday in Seoul.

In particular, we need to take advantage of this anniversary to revitalize the Peace Corps so that it makes more progress in advancing its timeless mission of making the world more peaceful and prosperous.

"There are many disputes in the world, let's make the 21st century a century of dialogue and solve these disputes. It will help bring peace to the world," said the Dalai Lama.

They asked Ben-Gurion University to work with Palestinian universities on research projects, and to start the collaborations within six months if it wants to maintain ties with the University of Johannesburg.

When women form local and global alliances with each other and stand together for peace, they can impact systems that generate and perpetuate war...Today, September 21, is International Day of Peace. Let's celebrate the women peacemakers around the world and learn from them. They can show us the elusive path to peace if only we pay attention.

The alternative theory of ecological diplomacy, on the other hand, focuses on facilitating peace through environment initiatives. Still, one might argue that diplomatic mechanisms like the international climate change negotiation process, illustrated at last year’s COP15 meeting, have not accomplished anything more than the promotion of good will between countries.
