CPD CONTRIBUTIONS
Sarah is a doctoral student and Annenberg Fellow at the Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism, focusing her work on politics of and on the Internet. She received her B.A. with Distinction in Media Studies and Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia and Masters in Public Diplomacy from the University of Southern California where she was a Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellow. She has presented her work in the United States and the Netherlands. In addition, she has served as a research associate for a joint USC-Peking University Commission on mutual trust between the U.S. and China, as well as at the Center on Communication Leadership and Policy, and currently serves as the Managing Editor for Global Voices Advocacy's Netizen Report. Prior to entering academia, she worked for a media intelligence firm in Singapore, where she collaborated with many of Singapore's largest corporate and government bodies to develop and implement media analysis projects. There she was elected to the Management Committee of the Singapore Press Club, and served as a member of the Institute of Public Relations Singapore and the Singapore Chinese Institute of Business.
