Anja Eifert is an assistant lecturer at the University of Leipzig, Germany, where she teaches courses in U.S. history and politics, with emphasis on U.S. foreign relations and diplomacy. She holds an M.A. in both American studies and German studies, and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in U.S. foreign policy, with focus on U.S. public diplomacy in Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia. During her studies, she spent several years in the United States and Indonesia with generous support from the Fulbright Commission and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

Anja has been selected as recipient of the CPD Doctoral Dissertation Award for the 2014-2015 academic year.
