Hasmik is a second year student in the USC Master of Public Diplomacy program. She completed her Bachelor's degree in political science from the University of California, Irvine. Hasmik has interned for the World Affairs Council of Orange County in social media/marketing and currently works for the USC Institute of Armenian Studies as a graduate student researcher. During her undergraduate studies, she traveled to Armenia, Turkey, and Georgia twice as a student diplomat and facilitator to study Armenian-Turkish tensions on the ground. Her academic focus is on strategic communication with critical communities in the Middle East and South Caucasus.
As a PD News Contributor, Hasmik works with the CPD team responsible for aggregating English language public diplomacy news on a daily basis.
