Agnieszka Lazorczyk is Program Coordinator at the European Union Center of California at Scripps College. She holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from USC and specializes in comparative Slavic morphosyntax and syntax-semantics interface. Originally from Wrocław, Poland, she has fond memories of her teenage visits to friends in the majestic city of Kyiv, and of the time spent in the quiet Black Sea resort of Lazurne, where a local kolkhoz gifted her family with more melons than they could possibly eat.
