Abu Mathen George joined the Indian Foreign Service Service in 2009 and currently serves as the Second Secretary (Press, Information & Political) at the Indian Embassy in Cairo, where he handles the social media and public diplomacy initiatives of the Embassy. He graduated in law from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore and worked briefly as a lawyer with a number of civil society organizations. Before joining his current assignment, he acquired a diploma in Arabic from the American University in Cairo.
