Dr. Anri Chedia is a researcher at the School of Regional Studies, Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs at the HSE University. Anri has worked at Lomonosov Moscow State University and INION RAS. He holds a Ph.D. in History from Lomonosov Moscow State University. Anri is a recognized scholar in the field of Turkish-Ottoman studies. He worked at the Ottoman archive of the President of the Republic of Türkiye, where he found more than 300 previously unpublished documents on the history of the Caucasus, Türkiye and the Black Sea region. Anri periodically introduces these documents into scholarly circulation, thereby overturning accepted notions of history, as well as filling gaps in the study of the regions.

Anri has publications in such journals as Russia in Global Affairs, Vestnik RUDN International Relations, Outlines of Global Transformations: Politics, Economics, Law. His research interests include the history of the Ottoman Empire and Türkiye; methods of Ottoman administration of conquered territories; history of the Black Sea region, and the Caucasus and Central Asian countries, as well as mechanisms of public diplomacy, soft power of modern Türkiye.
