Chenjun Wang is an academic and researcher specializing in international communication, strategic narratives, domestic public diplomacy and soft power. She teaches in the School of Media and Communication at the University of Sydney and is a doctoral researcher in the School of International Studies at Macquarie University. Wang also serves as a research associate at Macquarie University’s Soft Power Analysis and Resource Centre and is a member of the International Cultural Relations Research Alliance (ICCRA). Her previous affiliations include roles as a visiting research fellow at the Australian Centre on China in the World at the Australian National University, and a research assistant with the East Asia Program at the Lowy Institute. Her research applies an axiological framework to investigate value-based political narratives, exploring how intercultural dialogues and ideological conflicts engage values such as affection, utility, aesthetics, and morality.
