During her International Affairs undergraduate study in Slovakia, Dominika Greisigerova participated in the exchange program at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. There Dominika became closely acquainted with addressing Latin American issues. After earning a bachelor’s degree, she further pursued her studies in Spain completing a master’s degree in Human Rights and Politics at the University of Barcelona. Subsequently, Dominika worked for an NGO called Casa Eslava in the field of cultural diplomacy with a main task to promote cultural interaction among the Slavic countries and Catalonia. In 2011, Dominka interned in the European Parliament for three months, where she tracked legislative updates in the field of European regional policy. Moreover, preparing position papers and drafting political reports was on her daily agenda. Afterwards, she spent two months analyzing the Castros' political reforms at the Slovak Embassy in Havana. Shortly after her placement in Cuba had finished, Dominika completed a political research report for the Government Office of the Slovak Republic focusing on the drug trade in Colombia, Peru, and Bolivia. Currently, Dominka plans to enroll in a doctorate program and is exploring options for perfecting her experience in the Latin American region.
