Julia Wilson is the CEO & founder of Wilson Global Communications USA, an international public affairs and marketing communications consultancy in Washington, D.C. A Fulbright grant recipient, Wilson and her firm focuses on linking African Americans in education, business and civic affairs with opportunities in foreign countries. For more than two decades, she has worked to build and enhance cross-cultural relationships in 15 countries, including the U.S., China, Brazil, France, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria and South Africa. Wilson is a graduate of the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. She also is a member of the Board of Advisors for the USC Center for Public Relations, and a recipient of USC’s Black Alumni Association’s 2016 Alumna of the Year Award. A former print and broadcast journalist, Wilson lived in South Africa during Nelson Mandela’s presidency after covering his presidential election, and founded Wilson Global Communications in Johannesburg.
