Michael Duffin is a policy advisor for the Office of Countering Violent Extremism in the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Counterterrorism, where he oversees public diplomacy programming and engagement with the Strong Cities Network. He began his State Department career as a Presidential Management Fellow (PMF) in 2013, and is a three-time recipient of the Meritorious Honor Award and a recipient of the Franklin Award. Duffin earned a Master of Public Diplomacy from the University of Southern California, a Master of International Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University, and a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University.
