Minsoo Kim is a PhD candidate in the college of communication and information at the University of Tennessee. His dissertation research focuses on conceptualization and measurement of foreign public opinion.

Using relational and network approach, his project examines how the notion of complex interdependence and related concepts can be integrated to specify the dimensions of foreign public opinion toward other countries. This project aims to bridge the gap between foreign public opinion and foreign policy attitudes by development and validation of a new measure.

His research interests include public relations, public diplomacy, community building, and intercultural communication. His work has been published in Public Relations Review, Journal of Communication Management, and Journal of Health Communication.
