Renee Lee is a second-year graduate student in the Master of Public Diplomacy program at the University of Southern California. Formerly, as Managing Editor of the Newsroom, she was responsible for ensuring consistency and accuracy of CPD in the News and CPD Announcements, as well as the overall Web site.
Prior to joining the Center in 2010, Renee spent six years in the U.S. Air Force as a public affairs officer. She spent her entire U.S. military career based in the Asia-Pacific region, where she helped share the Air Force story with numerous audiences in various countries including South Korea, Thailand, Japan, and Australia. Prior to joining the Air Force, Renee graduated cum laude from the University of Washington in 2003, earning a B.A. in Communications.
As a public diplomacy student here, Renee’s interests include international broadcasting, cultural diplomacy and new media with a focus on the Asia-Pacific region. In her free time, she enjoys reading many of her numerous RSS feeds, including the International Herald Tribune, Columbia Journalism Review and Newsweek. When she’s not utilizing new media on the 2.0 Internet, Renee can be found surfing waves, swimming, running, playing basketball, and studying French.
