Valeria Ortiz (she/her) is a progressive degree student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, focusing on Latin American Studies, and a Master of Public Diplomacy at the University of Southern California.
Valeria worked closely with the Latinx Student Assembly in the Undergraduate Student Government during her undergraduate career, serving as the Executive Director for the 2020-2021 school year. As ED, she programmed cultural, social, and educational events catered to the multifaceted and dynamic Latinx USC experience. In addition, she worked as a Student Ambassador in the USC Admission Center, where she had the chance to dialogue with prospective students and advocate for more significant college access.
Valeria has interned at the Central American Resource Network (CARECEN) in LA, Directorio Legislativo in Buenos Aires, and the Immigrants and Global Migration Initiative (IGMI) in the USC Gould School of Law. After graduation, she hopes to continue her work in global affairs and human rights in South America.
