Zhao Minghao is a research fellow at the Charhar Institute in Beijing. He is also non-resident fellow at the Center for International and Strategic Studies (CIIS), Peking University.

His scholarly and opinion articles have appeared in American Studies Quarterly, Contemporary World, New York Times, the Project Syndicate, the Diplomat, People's Daily, Global Times, Orrizzonte Cina, and Oriental Morning Post etc. He is an invited columnist for the BRICS Post and a full member of Osservatorio Asia’s Scientific Committee.
