Taiwan Seeking to Woo More Foreign Students

Under a new foreign policy it adopted last year, Taiwan is seeking to woo more foreign students, including from India, to study in its institutes of higher learning. “The central focus of our New Southbound policy is to strengthen ties with Southeast Asia and India,” Rebecca Lan, Deputy Director General at the Department of International and Cross-Strait Education in Taiwan’s Ministry of Education, said during an interaction with a group of visiting journalists from the region here.

Costa Rica Will Host Biggest Service Promotion Event in Latin America

The sixth edition of the Latin American and Caribbean Outsourcing and Offshoring forum, Outsource2LAC 2017 will be held in San José, Costa Rica, March 15 and 16. Outsource2LAC is a business meeting organized by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Costa Rica Foreign Trade Promotion Office (PROCOMER), with the objective of sharing good practices and experiences of the sector, as well as generating business and investment opportunities for the small and medium size enterprises of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Drumming Diversity Together – Food for Thought

Once again, Luxembourg’s Luxexpo draws in the crowds with a colourful representation of the numerous international communities the country is home to. Through a combination of food, flavour and fun, the 'Festival des Migrations' highlights the key concepts Luxembourg is known for: diversity and multiculturalism. Spread out between two halls and with more than 400 stalls, the Festival of Migration commemorates craft and culture.

MEA Documentaries Will Showcase India

The Ministry of External Affairs is going to use documentaries to showcase India in the international arena as a part of its effort to strengthen India’s “soft power”. The External Publicity & Public Diplomacy (XPD) Division of Ministry of External Affairs has invited proposals from filmmakers to make documentary on “India—a science and technology super power” and three separate documentaries that will cover the architectural, cultural and natural heritage of India.
