China Season of China-U.K. Year of Cultural Exchange Launches in London

On Tuesday, the China Season of the 2015 China-U.K. Year of Cultural Exchange was launched in London, announcing a series of events to come in the next few months. The events have the goal of exposing U.K. residents to the culture and traditions of China.

Church Diplomacy: The Rebirth of the Patriarch of Moscow

Cyril actually stated the need to build orthodox geopolitics, in line with Putin’s foreign policy.The Orthodox church moves in the former Soviet area, which the Kremlin aims to regroup. All this, supports the government’s foreign policy, continually appealing to a shared values between the “sister nations” with “a unique story, a unique Church and unique future”.

The #IranDeal: What Obama and Rouhani Have in Common

Hardliners on both sides have ramped up their efforts to sabotage the deal, while both governments are trying very hard to defend the deal and present it as a historical victory, which it truly is. The publicity that the Iran Deal debates has gotten has allowed both the Iranian and American governments to portray their countries as pragmatic, pro-diplomacy, and pro-peace—thereby enhancing their soft power, as opposed to repellently boasting about their hard power.

Don't Forget Two-way Street of Exchange Programs

Exchange students receive a different visa, called a J-1. They are part of the “public diplomacy” initiatives of the US Department of State. Neither host families nor schools are paid. Voluntarily hosted exchange students do not pay for food, lodging and education, but are welcomed as guest members of a family, community and country. They do pay travel, insurance, personal and program costs
