On April 4 and 5, Philip Seib, CPD Director, and Nicholas Cull, CPD University Fellow and Director of the USC Master of Public Diplomacy Program, attended the international conference on Israel's Global Image Crisis: Public Diplomacy and Communications Strategies organized by Bar Ilan Center for International Communications. The Center for International Communications is directed by CPD Senior Scholar Eytan Gilboa.
Cull participated on a panel about Soft Power and Hard Power while Seib spoke on a panel about International Broadcasting. Panel discussions were followed by workshops on Branding and Cultural Diplomacy, and Cyber Public Diplomacy.
The conference focused on the perception of Israel around the world and how the country can improve its image by using effective messaging and public diplomacy strategies in an evolving media landscape.
