KEEP READINGCPD Awards 2024 Doctoral Dissertation Grant
The USC Center on Public Diplomacy is pleased to announce Minsoo Kim, a PhD candidate in the college of communication and information at the University of Tennessee, as recipient of our 2024 CPD Doctoral Dissertation Grant.
His dissertation research focuses on measuring the opinion of foreign publics. Using relational and network approaches, his project examines how the notion of complex interdependence and related concepts can be integrated to specify the dimensions of foreign public opinion toward other countries. The project aims to bridge the gap between foreign public opinion and foreign policy attitudes by development and validation of a new measure.
His research interests include public relations, public diplomacy, community building, and intercultural communication. His work has been published in Public Relations Review, Journal of Communication Management, and Journal of Health Communication.
