CPD Perspectives on Turkey as Emerging Power
CPD is pleased to announce the publication of a new issue of CPD Perspectives on Public Diplomacy, from authors Ellen Huijgh, CPD Research Fellow 2013-2015, and contributing researcher Jordan Warlick. The paper, titled "The Public Diplomacy of Emerging Powers, Part I: the Case of Turkey," takes a historical look at the nation, and "explains the influence of domestic transformations, and democratization in particular, on the re-emergence of Turkey, and on its foreign policy narratives, with a focus on its public diplomacy." A forthcoming paper, "The Public Diplomacy of Emerging Powers, Part II," will consider the case of Indonesia.
