Carla Cabrera Cuadrado holds a PhD in Communication and Interculturality by the Universidad de Valencia and serves as Public Diplomacy Officer at the Embassy of Spain in the United States. She is the creator of the model "The Golden Circle of Public Diplomacy," which states that countries that conduct values-based public diplomacy in coherence with their reality are more successful attracting foreign publics. Her research has been published in academic journals such as Journal of Public Diplomacy, Place Branding and Public Diplomacy, and Communication & Society. Carla has been a Visiting Researcher at Georgetown University and she graduated as a Fulbright scholar from American University, where she completed her M.A. in Intercultural and International Communication with a concentration on Cultural and Public Diplomacy. She received a dual B.A. in International Business and Management by Hochschule Bremen in Germany and Universidad de Valencia in Spain. She is a member of the Public Diplomacy Council of America, Fulbright National Capital Area Chapter, and the Spanish Public Policy Network.
