Jennifer Yael Green is the Assistant Director for the NuRoots Community Fellowship with the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles.

She graduated with her M.A. in Public Diplomacy from the University of Southern California in May 2013. During her time at USC, she was chosen as a student representative for an academic trip to Havana, Cuba, where she wrote about the role of women in a changing economy and political system. She also served as a Graduate & Research Intern for Human Rights Watch, working on grassroots advocacy campaigns and communication outreach in the Children’s Rights Division.

Prior to her graduate work, Jennifer worked with high school students in foster care and on probation in South Los Angeles. She also spent several years working abroad with youth in underserved communities in South Africa, Argentina, and South Korea. She is a graduate of the Glass Leadership Institute at the ADL and the Jeremiah Fellowship at Bend the Arc, where she still serves on several committees. Jennifer received her B.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Washington, and in her free time writes a Los Angeles adventure blog called My Best LA Day.
