All News

Jen McAndrew joined the U.S. Foreign Service in 2009. During her career as a diplomat, she has developed cultural diplomacy programs with U.S. Embassies in Armenia, Ireland, and Pakistan, using the arts to foster cross-cultural understanding, community engagement, and resilience. Her portfolio includes initiatives such as the arts envoy tour of Navajo band Sihasin in Armenia following the Nagorno-Karabakh crisis, and the Sound Bridge exchange connecting Armenian, Turkish, and Georgian musicians. In Ireland, she curated the Creative Minds series. While in Pakistan, she secured the first-ever showcase of Pakistani music at SXSW and helped launch the Dosti project. She also served with the Washington Foreign Press Center and taught cultural diplomacy at the Foreign Service Institute. Jen holds an MA in Cultural Policy and Arts Management from University College Dublin, and BA in Irish Studies from Southwestern University. To read more of her work, visit her LinkedIn page.
