Keith Aksel is an independent scholar specializing in diplomatic and military history. He taught for five years at Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey and is currently completing a book manuscript on cold war military aid to Turkey. He holds a Ph.D. in history from the University of Colorado, and he lives in Philadelphia with his family.
