Associate Professor Dwyer is chair of the department of media and communications at the University of Sydney. His research focuses on the critical evaluation of media and communications industries, regulation, media ethics, law and policy in an era of convergent media. His research also explores how news practices are evolving in multi-platform media organisations, and analyses the implications of these transformations for media diversity and pluralism. He is currently engaged in research comparing digital media business and policy in Australia and South Korea.
