Di Wu is a Ph.D. student at American University. She received a master's degree in public diplomacy from USC in 2010 and has a master's degree of International Relations from Shanghai International Studies University, China. She also holds a bachelor's degree in Law and International Politics at Tongji University in Shanghai.
Di previously worked as a membership and program assistant at the Pacific Council on International Policy. She has also been a research assistant for Center for American Progress, Korean Studies Institute at USC, and China Daily. She also had research experience at Shanghai Institute for International Studies, one of the top think tanks in China.
In public diplomacy, Di mainly focuses her study and research into the region of China and Eastern Asia. Her master's thesis centered on the Beijing Olympics and the Chinese national image. She is also interested in Korean and Japanese public diplomacy.
A native of China, Di is fluent in Mandarin, as well as English. She likes to travel and experience different cultures around the world.
