CPD Event

2011 marks the sixth annual Summer Institute in Public Diplomacy. This innovative two-week training program is run by the USC Center on Public Diplomacy at the Annenberg School, and is an opportunity for professionals to collaborate and immerse themselves in the increasingly critical study of public diplomacy.

The USC Center on Public Diplomacy was pleased to host the U.S. State Department Public Diplomat in Residence (2009-2011) Dr. Robert Banks spoke about his ongoing research project on public diplomacy evaluation.

The USC Center on Public Diplomacy was pleased to host CPD Research Fellow (2009-2011), Dr. Kathy Fitzpatrick. Professor Fitzpatrick spoke about her ongoing research project on U.S. Mutual Understanding.

The USC Center on Public Diplomacy was pleased to host CPD Research Fellow (2009-11), Ambassador Cynthia Schneider. Ambassador Schneider spoke about her assessment of the impact of arts, culture, and media in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The USC Center on Public Diplomacy was pleased to co-sponsor the Association of Public Diplomacy Scholars annual conference on public diplomacy, place brands, and soft power.
