Nigeria: Bayelsa As a Culture and Tourism Haven

For a start the state government noted that it began with the creation of the Ministry of Culture and Ijaw National Affairs as a way of resuscitating and promoting the Ijaw culture. Governor Seriake Dickson says that the establishment of the Ijaw House, the completion of the Ijaw Heroes Memorial Park, institution of the Ijaw Film Project, among others are ways that he is ensuring that the Ijaw culture is enriched.

Netanyahu on Israel's Public Diplomacy

Netanyahu presented a color-coded world map and discussed Israel’s relations with a number of strategic states.  “First of all” he exclaimed, “there is a huge change.”  He pointed out that Israel is negotiating a free trade agreement with China, the second largest economy in the world. Israel’s exports to India increased by 30%, and with Japan, Israel has a defense and investment protection agreement.

People-to-People Exchanges Become New Pillar For China-ASEAN ties

In the letter, Li said people-to-people exchanges, including education exchanges, are emerging as a new pillar in China-ASEAN relations and showing broad prospects. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the China-ASEAN relationship. Li said China and ASEAN are good neighbors and partners, and communicate and cooperate in various fields.

S. Korea's Cabinet Approves Enforcement Ordinance of Public Diplomacy Act

South Korea's Cabinet on Tuesday endorsed an enforcement ordinance of the public diplomacy act, marking yet another move to bolster the country's diplomatic profile on the global stage. [...] The new ordinance is expected to offer fresh momentum for South Korea's efforts to court foreign countries to promote its commercial and cultural products and bolster multilateral security cooperation.

Music Concert of Studio Ghibli To Be Held in Hà Nội

The Hà Nội Ensemble is a group of young artists and lecturers from the Việt Nam National Academy of Music, which was established in 2010. Members of the group have studied in Việt Nam and other prestigious conservatories of music around the world. They have won many reputable music awards, as well as participated in concerts, music festivals and cultural exchange programmes both domestically and internationally.
