Local Youth Sister City Exchanges Canceled
This July, the Pocatello and Idaho Falls Sister City Youth Delegations were planning on participating in exchange programs with Japan. Last week, Pocatello's Sister City of Iwamizawa asked that the Pocatello youth not come to Japan because of the swine flu.
PHS Teens Are Looking Forward to Cultural Experience
Six teens are counting down to July 12, when they leave for Minamisoma, Japan, to represent Pendleton High School and the city of Pendleton as student ambassadors. The students' adventure will take them into Japanese culture and into the lives of a Japanese host family for three weeks.
