Soft power was all over the news this week, as Russia, Ukraine, and India all attempted to improve their national images, both domestically and abroad, via non-political means. Using a combination of soft power initiatives like sports and dance, Turkey and Armenia were looking to repair a longstanding tumultuous relationship, while Azerbaijan and Iran expressed interest in cultural collaborations and exchange. Even Colombia and Zimbabwe entered the soft power conversation, increasing tourism measures to boost their reputations overseas.
