CPD University Fellow Jay Wang featured in Nation Branding blog

CPD University Fellow Jay Wang's research project, Nation Branding at Expo Shanghai 2010 was featured on Oct. 23 in an article titled, "How countries introduce themselves at the Shanghai Expo." Wang also contributed a front-page story titled "Nation Branding at the 2010 World Expo." Both pieces were published by Nation-Branding.info, a website dedicated to nation branding and country brands.

Nation-Branding highlights Wang's project and CPD Video Conversations from the Shanghai Expo and discusses how the countries use their pavilions to brand themselves. The piece includes videos of the Brazil, France, Israel, Japan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain and Sweden pavilions.

In his article "Nation Branding at the 2010 World Expo" in Nation-Branding, Wang discussed the Expo as a "venue for public diplomacy" and a showcase or "tournament of cultures" for the participating nations.
