Seven spectacular works from the Museum of Islamic Art’s permanent collection are currently on show in New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, (the Met) as part of a major exhibition entitled, ‘Jerusalem 1000–1400: Every People Under Heaven’. [...] “Partnerships such as this one reflect our commitment of continued collaboration with many of the world greatest museums and cultural institutions, encouraging cultural dialogue and promoting intellectual exchange.”

Germany's Goethe Institut has opened a temporary space for German-Syrian cultural exchange in Berlin: "Damascus in exile." The ambitious project is squeezed into all of 70 square meters in the heart of the capital.

A group of Polish musicians and artists has held an exhibition in Beijing as part of a cultural exchange. The tour is part of a national-level initiative between China and Poland, that stretches from 2016 to 2019. The group will visit 6 cities in China.

The Japan Foundation has organised a photo exhibition in Kigali to showcase the Asian country’s transformation over the years. Arirang Rhapsody, a cultural exchange exhibition featuring Chinese and South Korean artists, will open at the Korean Cultural Center and the Manet Art Museum in Beijing on Saturday. This marks the first time the exhibition, which debuted at the Jeju Museum of Contemporary Art in South Korea in July, has come to China.

The theme of the art exhibition is Art Makes the Olympics Even More Beautiful and is a way of rounding off the games and celebrating sportsmanship and cultural reunion through art. It also makes up a part of the larger Year of China-Latin America-Caribbean Exchange which is an initiative that was born after a meeting with the Chinese president Xi Jinping and the leaders of Latin America and the Caribbean in July 2014.
