Thanks to sports diplomacy, American and British sports fans alike can take interest in the football that their counterparts are watching.

The Geneva International Cultural Exchange Committee invites the public to join them as they welcome their next cultural exchange with our sister city Croissy-sur-Seine, France. A delegation of 20 of which six are from the Rive Droite/Rive Gauche Swing Band will be coming to Geneva on Wednesday, Oct. 10.

Greeks have been enthralled by Turkish TV series "The Magnificent Century" in recent months. The series is comprised of historical recreations of 16th-century Sultan Suleiman's life and slick soap opera-like tales of intrigue and family drama... Greek nationalists view the series as being a Turkish invasion of sorts, while others see opportunities for beneficial cultural exchange.

Twenty-five food professionals from chefs, restaurant owners to food writers and critics from different countries, traveled together throughout the United States as participants in the International Visitor Leadership Program, IVLP.

As School of Leadership (SoL) on Monday organised the second session of its nationwide campaign titled ‘Shabash Pakistan’, 250 students of Air University gathered at LTC Hall and pledged to save their motherland by becoming ambassadors of peace. ‘Shabash Pakistan’ is a nation-branding movement started by School of Leadership.

A young Russian journalism student Kirill Filimonov, protesting against U.S. decision to stifle Radio Liberty broadcasts and to fire its journalists, was detained by the police but released and, with about 30 mostly young, Russian demonstrators, continued the picket Tuesday in front of the U.S. Embassy in Moscow.

The current strain in U.S. relations with Russia sums up the challenges of dealing with authoritarian rulers...The time has come to formally review U.S. relations with authoritarian regimes around the globe and identify ways to support human rights and democracy activists while continuing cooperation on common security and economic interests... Senior U.S. officials and diplomats should conduct vigorous public diplomacy to communicate the values of freedom directly to people living under authoritarian rule.

INDIAFRICA, a shared future which was launched in Nigeria in August 2011 at Lagos Business School is "a unique people to people and youth outreach programme that brings Africans and Indians together through competition, creative exchanges and collaboration". The finals which held last September at the City Hall, Lagos, featured presentations by 9 teams from Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa and India.
