Chanelle Yang is a senior at USC's Price School of Public Policy. She works as a grassroots organizer, exploring public diplomacy's impact on global labor conditions. In addition to her academic interest in international relations, she currently works as the West Coast Regional Organizer for United Students Against Sweatshops, a national student-run organization that advocates for workers' rights domestically and abroad.
Her previous experience includes: Center for Strategic Research Intern at AFL-CIO headquarters (Washington DC), Public Affairs Intern at U.S. Trade Representative (EOP), CPD Events and Programming Assistant, and op-ed journalist for a variety of newspapers and publications.
An avid traveler, she lived in the Dominican Republic to observe the grassroots labor movement, and has also ventured to Chile, Belize, Nicaragua, India, China and parts of Europe. She is fluent in Spanish.
