Ronald E. Hawkins Jr. is a Foreign Service Officer specializing in Public Diplomacy with the U.S. Department of State. His previous assignments include: Algeria, Iceland, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sudan, Romania, Uganda and Washington. He earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in international affairs from American University as well as a master’s degree in strategic studies from the U.S. Army War College.

He is currently in preparation for his next assignment as the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Lomé, Togo.
