Paving the Way for Women on the World Stage

In recognition of Women’s History Month, headlines in this week’s PD News roundup explored the role of women on the world stage. A Saudi Arabian sociologist interviewed successful Saudi women for a new book she hopes will counter Western “misperceptions about the kingdom’s women,” while in the U.S., a University of Denver professor explored the soft power legacy of former First Lady Nancy Reagan for other first ladies abroad. Other headlines looked at the future of gender equality, the unifying powers of sports diplomacy, and the impact of female leaders on Twitter.
