Facebook has 2.3 billion active users, and world governments want their attention.
Check out "World Leaders on Facebook 2019," the latest Twiplomacy study released by Burson Cohn & Wolfe (BCW), which analyzes the social media presence of leaders and governments from 182 countries.
"Technically world leaders, governments and foreign ministries have their biggest audiences on Facebook compared to the size of their audiences on Twitter or Instagram," notes the report. "However, with Facebook’s change of algorithm it has become more and more difficult for governments to stand out and reach the 2.3 billion monthly active users organically."
