In response to popular demand, the Embassy of India, Belgrade has launched a new website in Serbian language dedicated to the promotion of Brand India in Serbia. The website has been interlinked with Embassy’s other social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Mobile App. This follows from the launch of the first India-Serbia Business Forum on June 27, 2016 in Belgrade. 

Acknowledging the scars of a secret war, President Barack Obama on Tuesday said the United States has a “moral obligation” to help this isolated Southeast Asian nation heal and vowed to reinvigorate relations with a country with rising strategic importance to the U.S. [...] For Obama, the visit serves as a capstone to his yearslong effort to bolster relations with Southeast Asian countries long overlooked by the United States.

The nation branding project will be discontinued in October in favour of an operation to promote the country. The announcement was made by Luxembourg's Secretary of State of the Economy at the opening of Luxembourg's first event dedicated to MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Events) tourism.

Indonesia is seeking to leverage its growing information and communication technology (ICT) industry by gathering international companies and local stakeholders at an upcoming summit and exhibition. [...] The summit will discuss the potential, and challenges, of the country’s digital economy sector and will involve 120 speakers across several segments, namely broadband and the internet of things (IoT), e-commerce and digital broadcasting.

The tide is turning for Ethiopia’s tourism industry, as the Ethiopian Ministry of Culture and Tourism recently announced it plan to triple the number of foreign visitors, to more than 2.5 million, by 2020, with an ultimate goal of making Ethiopia one of Africa’s top five tourist destinations [by 2020 says a journalist from Daily Mail.

Representatives from Egypt, other African nations and Japan met in Nairobi, Kenya, for the launch of the sixth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) Summit. According to TICAD’s official website, the conference aims to highlight the importance and urgency of development issues in the African continent, as well as to “promote high-level policy dialogue between African leaders and development partners.”
