A Sudanese public diplomacy delegation arrived in the Ethiopian Capital, Addis Ababa, on Sunday for a week-long official visit.The Speaker underscored that the visit would further bolster the historic and long-standing brotherhood and solidarity between the two countries. “Though Ethiopia will not be new to you, during your stay, we are hopeful that you will explore further opportunities of partnership in order for the two countries to grow together.”

Ulusoy said Turkey has been very proactive in promoting longstanding cultural ties with Ethiopia through the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).

The collaboration is supported by the US Embassy’s public diplomacy sports outreach program which has forged links and implemented programs for thousands of young Ethiopian boys and girls in collaboration with the Ethiopian Football Federation and the Ethiopian Basketball Federation.

President Dr. Mulatu Teshome received US Baptist Church Convention delegation comprising five members at the National Palace here yesterday. The delegation assured the President that US is keen to strengthen people-to-people ties. In addition to ways of strengthening public diplomacy, the President also told the delegation about the favorable investment climate in the country and called for church followers to take advantage of existing opportunities.
